Fourth of July

Friday night daniel, josh, marissa and i went camping up provo canyon. The weather was perfect and the greenery was so lush! The only down fall was the millions of ants covering every inch of ground, making it impossible to sit down! That night we had tin foil dinners and smores with peanut butter in the chocolate... yes they were so yummy! The next morning we made eggs and bacon. As marissa was placing the bacon on a plate daniel that was holding, he dropped it in the dirt and ants...yum. After breakfast we packed up and left to go home and get ready for matt's BBQ. On the way to matt's bbq we, josh missy daniel and i, picked up hunter from his fruit stand in salt lake. The bbq was in bountiful at a park close to matts house. The bbq consisted of the mortensens, hunter, two straggler guys, and then quite a few of matts adoring female fans. It was a lot of fun, and there was a ton of food! After gorging ourselves with food, a few of went down to the basket ball court to play around. Daniel and I had a lil shoot out... and i kicked his tail! For fireworks we went to another park in murry... they were all pretty far away except for the ones behind the trees! The next day daniel and i went to our new ward for the first time. It seems like a great ward and daniel and i already received a mini calling to go do temple work once a week. The sandavals were in town so we met up with them and had dinner at ryan and mara's house. All in all it was a great weekend!

So Daniel and I are back from the honeymoon and things are so crazy trying to get settled in. For our honeymoon we went on the Carnival paradise to catalina island and ensanada. We absolutely loved it! We ate all day long it was great! In catalina the excursions were a bit expensive, so we decided to just explore on our own. We ended up hopping from rock to rock under a pier, and strolling through some shops. We left with new sweat shirts and daniel got a new pair of sunglasses. Retreating back to the boat we ate some more and enjoyed a much needed nap! In ensanada we went horse back riding on the top of a mountain that over looked the ocean. It was beautiful! Daniel rode behind me and enjoyed the gas flowing from my horse every time he galloped. And i ended up with bruised bum from bouncing all over the place! After that fun adventure we went back on the boat for lunch and headed back out to see la bufadora. On the bus ride over our tour guide pointed out landmarks and cracked the same jokes as our first tour guide. When we arrived we walked past a strip of little shops with people practically pulling us into to buy everything they had! Finally we made it through and ended up at the edge of a small cliff with a v shaped cove leading to the ocean. Its protected or rather we are protected, by a waist high brick wall. As the water flows into the cove from the ocean, the force of the waves cause the water to spray up and mist everyone standing close. There were tons of little crabs and a couple squirrels running around, they were very cute. Daniel, pretending to have food in his hand, got one of them to get very close. On our way back to the bus, we bought a very large and very cute ceramic mushroom, and I'm sad to say that the day we got back it fell over and the top broke off=(. Now we are back in Provo and trying to organize all of the amazing gifts we received from our wedding. All in all life is amazing being married as a mortensen! Daniel is so perfect and life is great!
